Farmer sentiment regarding current conditions slips in September

Farmers became much more pessimistic about existing conditions on their own farms plus the U.S. agricultural economy in belated summer, based on the September Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer. Whilst overall Ag economic climate Barometer reading dipped slightly up to a reading of 121, down three things from August; the Index of active Conditions, a sub-index regarding the barometer, dropped 22 points up to a reading of 100. The barometer will be based upon a mid-month survey of 400 agricultural manufacturers over the U.S.
